Objects

• To initiate and creatively communicate interdisciplinary and holistic approaches for environmental concerns;
• To promote sustainable development strategies underscoring population, health, housing, livelihood, education and in balance with environmental protection, promote judicious and equitable use of natural resources and preservation of indigenous cultural heritage;
• To bridge and network global concerns and institutions for local action in the Ugandan setting; and
• To raise awareness in seecuring and restoring a clean, healthy, orderly and peacefull environment for us and our future generations.

Earthsavers Movement Uganda Chapter was founded in 1997 after the founders participated in the International Earthday Festival and Summit in Marikina City of Metro Manila, Philippines. It was registered as a Non Governmental Organisation in Uganda, thereafter it was registered as a Company Limited by Guarantee.

The Vision is "Prosperous people (men, women, boys, girls) in healthy and green environment with planned urban settlements to ensure continuity of life on earth".

The Mission is "To promote environmentally friendly, healthy and well planned settlements in high density, low income and unplanned suburbs".
